Johan Cruyff Institute and GlobalM Academy become corporate partners through signing an academic collaboration agreement for the development of mutually beneficial activities
Johan Cruyff Institute adds GlobalM, a fully residential football academy located in Malaga (Spain), to its network of partners. GlobalM combines sports programs aimed at the personal development of young people who aspire to a career in football, and academic training that is adapted to the needs of each player.
GlobalM Academy offers its players high-performance training, skills development and fitness training directed by highly experienced professionals, nutritional plans designed by nutritionists to ensure a well-balanced athlete’s diet, and also offer the players online schooling at secondary and university levels, as well as language programs, together with private tutoring.
Having access to Johan Cruyff Institute academic training will allow these young players to start planning their integration into the labor market once their sports career is finished, while still being able to continue being associated with their great passion. The marketing director of Johan Cruyff Institute, Cristina Palés, considers that “facilitating the academic training of young football talents is a way to sensitize them to the importance of preparing for the day when they retire from their sporting activity, which they may now see as far away, but they don’t know for sure when that moment will come.”
In the same way, this agreement makes it possible for Johan Cruyff Institute students to do internships at the academy, depending on their availability, and for GlobalM professionals to collaborate in programs, seminars and other activities taught by the academic institution.
